New River Valley Airport announced it was awarded $743,425 in combined grant funds from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Aviation. The money makes up 98% of the cost to expand its aircraft parking ramp. The expansion will give the airport more room to park aircraft and transport air cargo.

Lewis University airport received $3.3M FAA improvement grant

The grant comes from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program. Construction is expected to begin in May 2020 and is expected to be completed that September. The airport is one of the five busiest airports in the state and is located near three major interstate highways.

Knoxville Airport to Receive Funds for New Hangar
