Fitchburg Airport to get FAA grant for runway improvements

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation Aeronautics Division has announced that 10 publicly owned airports, including Fitchburg Municipal Airport, have been awarded Airport Improvement Program grants from the Federal Aviation Administration. The Fitchburg airport, which also serves Leominster, has received $13.8 million to extend and reconstruct the runway and rehabilitate the taxiway.

Bismarck Airport to complete construction by October 11

With the summer coming to a close, the Bismarck Airport is wrapping up on their final phase of a three year project to make upgrades to its runways. The past two summers, the southern and central parts of the main runway have been redone as part of a $64 million project.
