Ten Wyoming airports get federal grants

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao announced that the U.S. Dept. of Transportation will award $7.2 million in airport safety and infrastructure grants to 10 airports in Wyoming. The largest recipient in the state was Jackson Hole Airport, which will receive $2.7 million to fund repairing an access road.

Minnesota’s Wadena Airport receives $135K grant

The Wadena Airport has received $135K from the United States Dept. of Transportation to seal the pavement on runways, taxiways and the apron. The funds are part of a $520.5 million national investment, with $2.45 million going towards airport safety and infrastructure grants in Minnesota.

Montana’s Lewistown Airport gets grant funding

Lewistown Municipal Airport will receive $700K to fund apron repairs thanks to a  U.S. Dept. of Transportation airport improvement grant The funding is part of a total award of $26.5 million in airport safety and infrastructure grants to 17 airports in Montana.

19 Louisiana airports secure $11M in federal grants

Nineteen Louisiana airports from Minden to Morehouse and Acadiana to Houma secured federal grants totaling more than $11 million for everything from runway improvements to tree removal. The grants were issued through the U.S. Dept. of Transportation Airport Improvement Program

Four municipal airports in southern and southeastern New Mexico recently received nearly $1 million in federal funds for various improvements. The grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) was part of a $520.5 million package for infrastructure improvements to 287 airports in 41 states.
