See Airport Improvements Happening in Memphis

A multi-year plan to modernize and expand the Memphis International Airport is moving along. The Concourse B project will widen corridors and create a larger boarding area, but it will also consolidate airline, retail and food operations. The $245 million project started in January 2019 and is expected to take two years to complete.

Memphis International Airport is undergoing a major construction project. Construction crews are widening the Concourse B area as the airport prepares to consolidate the three available concourses. Glen Thomas, marketing director for Memphis International Airport, tells FOX13 the new concourse is supposed to make it easier for travelers. Construction on the concourse is on schedule.
