Decatur Airport gets $2.9 million federal grant for runway improvements

The primary runway at Decatur Airport will be rehabilitated after weathering more than two decades of air traffic, thanks to a $2.9 million federal grant announced Friday. Airport Director Tim Wright said the primary runway targeted for the project is more than 20 years old and is inspected every two years.
